Die Wasserwerke sind der Aufforderung zur Umsetzung der EU-Norm zur Markierung von Gefäßen und Behältern, in denen Flüssigkeiten zur Abgabe aufbewahrt werden, nachgekommen. Diese gelte auch für Gebäude, die entsprechende Behälter baulich verbaut haben. "Es ist schon ein starkes Stück, dass diese EU-Regulierungen auch für Behälter gelte, die längst ausgedient haben", so Ortsvorsteher Achtner. "Auch wenn es vielleicht für die angrenzenden Schulen einen schönen Schau- und vielleicht auch Bildungswert hat, sieht die Markierung auf unserem Wahrzeichnen unschön aus, um es freundlich zu formulieren. Aber vielleicht kann man die Markierung anderweitig nutzen, zum Beispiel als Füllstand des Leipziger Haushaltssäckels. Da können dann alle ablesen, was wir uns als Kommunie noch leisten können und was nicht."
